Eileen Thorsos
Aerial Silks

Eileen Thorsos began studying aerial silks in 2008 here at DSB. She has been practicing the art ever since, including co-choreographing aerial scenes for Durham Ballet Theatre productions of The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, and Cinderella. Eileen began dancing in 1999 with Scottish country dance and Argentine tango. She is now also a contra dance caller.

Eileen holds BAs in Biology and Linguistics from Swarthmore College and a Masters of Science in Ecology from Duke University. She works as a science communicator at Duke, with a focus on sustainability and the health effects of exposure to toxic chemicals.
