Tama Guerra began her ballet training in Brazil with Mrs. Aracy Evans, who is best known in Brazil as the "teacher of the teachers". Tama received a scholarship to the Escuela Nacional de Ballet de Cuba when she was 15 and at 18 she graduated as a Classical Ballet Dancer and was certified in Ballet Pedagogy. Tama toured through Europe taking classes with the most prestigious companies and danced with Staatheater Saarbrucken and Oper Leipzig in Germany.

After her return to Brazil, Tama danced at the Ballet Stagium in São Paulo and started her journey as an instructor of ballet. For 13 years she has taught ballet from the beginner to advanced levels and prepared students for the exams of the Royal Academy of Dance (London) and ENBC (Cuba). In 2010 Tama worked as a Ballet Mistress for Ballet Vida in São Paulo, Brazil.
