Aerial Division Coordinator
Aerial Silks, Rigging
Faith Towner began aerial silks in 2009 under the instruction of North Carolina’s first aerial instructor, Rebecca Drake. Once she learned to climb she’s never looked back, or down. Faith has been fortunate to learn aerial skills from many great regional and local instructors, as well as, internationally renowned teachers, Fred Deb, Elsie and Serenity Smith, and Susan Murphy. Faith has completed her teacher training at the New England Center for Circus Arts (NECCA) in Introduction, Foundation Level, and Intermediate Level 1 for both aerial silks and trapeze.
Faith regularly attends workshops at NECCA and other locations and is currently enrolled in the NECCA Teacher Certification Program. She is a Board Member of the Durham Ballet Theatre, helping to provide opportunities for both floor and aerial dancers to train, perform, and share their talents. Faith has collaborated creating aerial pieces for her students and others to perform in local showcases and larger productions. In addition, Faith performs at a variety of corporate, festival, and other events. Faith has a passion for the Aerial Arts because they produce strength, flexibility, endurance, and prove to be a wonderful creative outlet for all abilities and ages.
